BD 50-0071 - PleurX™ Drainage Catheter Kit - 4/Case

The BD PleurX drainage catheter kit packs the supplies for a PleurX drainage session into one set. Each kit has a 1000-mL plastic vacuum bottle with drainage line, a dressing and the supplies listed below. A patient information kit is included to help the person using it.

• Indicated for palliation of dyspnea (shortness of breath) due to pleural effusion, and for providing pleurodesis, which is resolution of the pleural effusion
• 1000-mL plastic vacuum bottle with drainage line
• Self-adhesive foam dressing
• Blue wrapping with three alcohol pads, a pair of exam gloves, a valve cap, a blue emergency slide clamp and 4 x 4 inch gauze pads
• Carrying box
• Patient information kit: patient education DVD, introduction letter with ordering information, FAQ brochure, directions for use, reference wall chart and emergency information card
• Sterile
• Each case holds 4 PleurX drainage kits, plus 1 carrying box and 1 patient information kit, as listed in the contents
