The BD Nexiva closed IV catheter is a sterile, 20 gauge catheter that is 1 inch long. It has a soft, flexible stabilization platform built into the catheter and a needle that shields itself as you withdraw it. Its catheter is made of BD Vialon polyurethane biomaterial.
- Soft, flexible stabilization platform built into the catheter, designed for stability and comfort, and to limit catheter movement in the vessel and irritation to the vessel
- Instaflash needle technology is designed to reduce hit-and-miss insertion by confirming vessel entry, so you can keep your attention on the insertion site
