The BBL CultureSwab Plus swabstick is a specimen collection and transport system, a sterile swab in a tube of Amies Agar gel that holds the sample until it reaches the lab. It is made by BD and uses Amies Agar gel without charcoal additive. It is sold by the each and in packs of 50.
- Plastic shaft with rayon swab, used to collect and transport throat, vaginal, skin and wound specimens
- Swab comes in a translucent tube with a blue, double-action security cap
