The BD PowerLoc Max Huber infusion kit is a sterile kit built around a 20 gauge, 3/4 inch Huber needle with 8 inch tubing. The needle has a sliding safety feature, and the kit includes the supplies listed below for the procedure.
- 20 gauge needle, 0.75 inch (3/4 inch) long, with 8 inch tubing and no port
- Flow rate of 5 mL/sec
- Stainless steel needle with a sliding safety needle
- Hub type: without wings
- Priming volume: 0.3 mL
- Sterile
- Kit contents: 0.9% Sodium Chloride 10 mL ampule, ChloraPrep applicator (non-tinted), transparent dressing, filter straw, 4 gauze pads (2 x 2 inch), 2 pair latex free sterile gloves, mask, alcohol prep pad, skin protection pad, syringe, 3 anchor tape strips, absorbent towel, dressing change label and procedure check list
