- Lid keeps unpleasant fumes in and limits evaporation of disinfectant or sterilizing solutions when the cup is not in use
- Cup is recommended for use with glutaraldehyde cold-chemical disinfecting or sterilizing solutions
- Replace the cup, funnel and lid when the disinfectant expires
