The Piccolo reagent disc is a general chemistry reagent for the in vitro quantitative determination of ten analytes, in a clinical laboratory or at a point-of-care location. It is made for testing heparinized plasma and serum. It is used with the Piccolo Blood Chemistry Analyzer and the Piccolo Xpress Chemistry Analyzer.
- Intended for in vitro quantitative determination of calcium, chloride, creatinine, glucose, lactate dehydrogenase, magnesium, potassium, sodium, total carbon dioxide and blood urea nitrogen
- Can be used in a clinical laboratory setting or at a point-of-care location
- For testing heparinized plasma and serum only
- Each Piccolo Basic Metabolic Panel Plus Disc contains dry test-specific reagent beads
- Each disc includes a dry sample blank reagent made of buffer, surfactants, excipients and preservatives, used to calculate concentrations of calcium, chloride, glucose, lactate dehydrogenase, magnesium, potassium, sodium, total carbon dioxide and blood urea nitrogen
- A dedicated sample blank for creatinine (CRE) is included in the disc
- Each disc also contains a diluent made of surfactants and preservatives
- Store reagent discs in their sealed pouches at 2 - 8°C (36 - 46°F)
- Works with the Piccolo Blood Chemistry Analyzer and the Piccolo Xpress Chemistry Analyzer
- Sample type: lithium heparin plasma sample
- Sold as a box of 10 discs
