Vital 1.5 Cal Vanilla is a peptide-based nutrition formula made by Abbott Nutrition, meaning its protein is broken down (hydrolyzed). It is a ready-to-use liquid in a 1 liter bottle, for ages 14+. You can take it by mouth or hang it for tube feeding.
- 1½ calories per mL, a concentrated calorie source for patients on fluid restriction
- Made with a blend of hydrolyzed protein, structured lipid and prebiotics
- Contains 1.4 grams of NutraFlora short chain fructo-oligosaccharides (scFOS) per 8 fluid ounces
- scFOS are prebiotic fibers
- Added antioxidant vitamins C and E and selenium
- 1,500 calories (1,000 mL) provide at least 100% of the RDIs for 25 essential vitamins and minerals
- Suitable for lactose intolerance
