Similac Expert Care Alimentum is a ready-to-feed infant formula in a 2-ounce bottle. It is made with hydrolyzed casein, which is protein broken into smaller pieces, and free amino acids, for infants who are sensitive to or unable to digest intact protein. It is sold for ages birth to 1 year.
- Hydrolyzed casein supplemented with free amino acids, made for infants who are sensitive to or unable to digest intact protein
- Contains DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid), two nutrients found in breast milk that are important for mental and visual development
- A blend of two carbohydrates that use two absorptive pathways, designed to maximize absorption and minimize the risk of malabsorption
- Lactose-free carbohydrate, to avoid lactose-associated diarrhea
- Ready-to-feed formula is corn-free
- Contains oils that have been shown to be well absorbed
- Approximately 33% of the fat is medium chain triglycerides
