The Ethibond Excel suture with needle is a nonabsorbable suture, meaning it is not broken down by the body. It is a braided polyester suture with a coating and a single attached needle. It comes sterile, so it is ready for use in wound closure.
- Nonabsorbable braided polyester suture made of high molecular weight, long chain, linear polyesters
- Braided construction, made for optimal handling properties
- Highly adherent coating made from a relatively nonreactive, nonabsorbable compound
- The coating acts as a lubricant and improves handling compared with braided, uncoated fiber
- Polyester suture material, braided, 36-strand, coated
- Suture size 2, green, 30 inch suture
- 1-needle: OS-4, 1/2 circle, reverse cutting needle
