Description / J & J Healthcare Systems V5495G - Coated Vicryl™ Suture with Needle - 12/Dozen, 12/Box
The Vicryl coated suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one the body gradually absorbs over time. It is made of Polyglactin 910 and comes double-armed, with a needle on each end of the strand. It is sold sterile and sized 9-0.
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues
- Made for ease of knot tying, with knot security on the first throw
- Frequent uses: general tissue and muscle approximation, ligatures, reproductive tract, ophthalmic, and orthopedic (2nd choice)
- Loses 50% of tensile strength after 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 56 to 76 days
- Polyglactin 910 absorbable suture, coated
- Monofilament, 12-strand, violet, 12 inch suture, size 9-0
- 3/8 circle spatula needle, stainless steel, 6.5 mm needle length (TG140-8)
