Description / J & J Healthcare Systems V449G - Coated Vicryl™ Suture with Needle - 12/Dozen, 12/Box
The Coated Vicryl suture is an absorbable suture, one the body gradually absorbs over time, supplied with needles attached. This size 9-0 Polyglactin 910 suture is paired with a stainless steel 1/2 circle ophthalmic spatula needle. It is sold sterile for facility and clinical use.
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues
- Made for ease of knot tying and knot security on the first throw
- Frequent uses include general tissue and muscle approximation, ligatures, reproductive tract, ophthalmic and orthopedic (2nd choice)
- Loses 50% of tensile strength after 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 56 to 76 days
- Absorbable, coated Vicryl suture made of Polyglactin 910
- Monofilament suture, size 9-0, 12-strand, violet, 12 inch length
- Double-armed: a needle on each end of the suture
- Stainless steel needle, ophthalmic spatula type, 1/2 circle, 5.5 mm long
