Description / Gentell TP1105 - Suture Strip Plus Flexible Wound Closure Strips - 4/Pack, 100/Box
Suture Strip Plus is a flexible skin closure strip, a strip applied over the skin to hold a wound closed. It is made of macroporous nonwoven polyamide with a pressure sensitive adhesive. It is used for closing surface tissue wounds and traumatic wounds such as skin tears.
- Made of macroporous nonwoven polyamide with a pressure sensitive adhesive
- Proprietary materials balance elasticity and adherence, closely matching the elastic modulus of human skin
- The strips stretch and move with the skin, which spreads force along the strip instead of concentrating it at the ends and reduces the chance of traction blisters or skin shear
- Used for primary wound closure of surface tissue and for traumatic wound closure such as skin tears
- Also used when aesthetic results are of great importance, such as in plastic surgery
