The Covidien ligating reel holds a 60 inch length of absorbable Chromic Gut suture, a sterile monofilament strand in size 3-0. It is made for facilities that need a needle-free suture on a reel. The suture is undyed and uncoated.
- Chromic Gut sutures are absorbable, sterile surgical sutures, meaning the body absorbs them over time
- Made of purified connective tissue, mostly collagen, taken from the serosal layer of beef (bovine) intestines
- Packaged in a solution of 89% isopropanol, 10% water and 1% triethanolmaine
