The Coloplast Biatain Alginate Dressing is a sterile rope dressing made of calcium alginate and CMC (carboxymethylcellulose). It is made for cavity filling, and you can cut it to fit any size, shape or depth of wound. It measures 1 x 17-1/2 inches.
- Made for cavity filling: the dressing keeps its structure, so you can cut it to fit any size, shape or depth of wound
- Dressing integrity allows it to be removed in one piece
- High absorption and gel formation hold wound fluid (exudate) inside the gel, which helps limit leakage onto the surrounding skin
- Mode of action: on contact with wound exudate, Biatain Alginate converts to a soft, cohesive gel
- Material: calcium alginate / CMC (carboxymethylcellulose)
