Description / Coloplast 3710 - Biatain® Calcium Alginate Dressing, 4 x 4 Inch - 1/Each, 10/Box
The Biatain Calcium Alginate Dressing is an alginate dressing, a wound dressing made from calcium alginate and CMC (carboxymethylcellulose). It is a sterile, white, square dressing that measures 4 x 4 inches. Its structure lets you cut it to fit the wound, which makes it a fit for cavity filling.
- Made for cavity filling: the dressing keeps its structure, so you can cut it to fit any size, shape or depth of wound
- Holds together for removal in one piece
- On contact with wound exudate (fluid from the wound), Biatain Alginate converts to a soft, cohesive gel that forms a moist wound environment
- Absorbs exudate and locks it inside the gel, which is designed to limit leakage and maceration (softening) of the surrounding skin
- Material: calcium alginate / CMC (carboxymethylcellulose)
