The DermaRite oil emulsion impregnated dressing is a primary dressing, the layer that sits directly on the wound. It is a sterile, white, rectangular mesh gauze dressing that measures 5 x 9 inches. Because it is nonadherent, it is made to be used beneath a secondary dressing.
