The Kendall calcium alginate dressing is an alginate dressing made from calcium alginate. It is a sterile, white rectangle that measures 4 x 8 inches. It forms a protective gel as it absorbs exudate, the fluid that comes from a wound.
- Absorbs exudate from the wound and forms a protective, cushioning gel that creates a moist wound environment
- The protective gel binds exudate and is made to help guard the skin around the wound from maceration, which is skin softening from excess moisture
- Can be used on infected wounds
- Absorbs approximately 20 times the dressing's weight
- The dressing's composition and weaving pattern are designed for simple one-piece removal
- Material: calcium alginate

Check that the 4 x 8 inch size suits your wound before ordering.
