The Shiley Hi-Lo Intermediate Hi-Lo endotracheal tube is a cuffed airway tube, made by Medtronic MITG, for pediatric patients. It is used for oral and nasal intubations where a shorter cuff is desired. It has a 3.0 mm inner diameter (ID) and a curved shape.
- Tip-To-Tip radiopaque line
- Pilot balloon with a mechanical self-sealing valve
- Used for oral and nasal intubations where a shorter cuff is desired
- Thin cuff forms a low-pressure seal and conforms to uneven tracheal surfaces
- Low intracuff pressure is spread over an adequate surface area to reduce the risk of tracheal tissue damage
