The J & J Healthcare Systems GUT CHROMIC suture is an absorbable, sterile surgical suture with a needle attached. It is made of chromic gut in a monofilament form, in size 3-0. It is used for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
- For general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures
- Not for use in cardiovascular and neurological tissues
- Absorbable, sterile surgical suture made of purified connective tissue, mostly collagen
- Derived from either the serosa layer of beef (bovine) intestines or the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep (ovine) intestines
- 27 inch suture length
- Half-circle (1/2 circle) taper point needle, SH
