The Kaltostat calcium alginate dressing from ConvaTec is an alginate dressing, a wound dressing made from calcium sodium alginate that absorbs wound fluid (exudate). It is made for moderately to heavily draining wounds. The dressing is nonadhesive and comes as a sterile 4 x 4 inch square.

- Listed uses include Stage II and IV pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, arterial and diabetic ulcers, donor sites, superficial burn wounds, surgical incisions, abrasions, lacerations and traumatic wounds
