The Coloplast Biatain Alginate Ag dressing is a silver alginate dressing, made of calcium alginate and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). It is non-adhesive and has no border, so you secure it separately. You can cut it to fit the size, shape or depth of a wound, and it can be used to fill a cavity.
- Cavity filling: the dressing holds its structure, so you can cut it to fit any size, shape or depth of wound
- Conforms to the wound bed
- Patented silver complex that releases silver ions when it meets wound exudate
- Wear time of up to 7 days
- Stays intact for removal in one piece
- Absorbs exudate and forms a gel that locks it inside, giving a leak-resistant dressing that keeps fluid away from the surrounding skin
