The Hydrofera BLUE Classic antibacterial foam dressing from BSN Medical is a square, blue foam dressing with no adhesive and no film backing. It is sterile and measures 5 x 5 centimeters. Because it is nonadhesive, you will need a separate way to hold it in place.
- Bacteriostatic cover, meaning a protective layer that inhibits the growth of microorganisms
- Physically binds endotoxins
- Pulls exudate (wound fluid) that carries bacteria up and away from the wound
- Absorbency is similar to or better than other highly absorptive dressings
