The MiniONE Capsule is a low profile, non-balloon button gastrostomy tube kit, a feeding device that sits close to the skin. It is made of silicone and comes sterile. It is made by Applied Medical Technology Inc, model M1-2-1830.
- Non-balloon design, so there is no balloon to fail and replacements occur less often
- Capsule design is made for easier insertion
- Button shaft is as narrow as that of a balloon button
- Self-lubricating capsule for easy insertion
- Pull-away tether is easy to use and releases the capsule to deploy the internal bolster
- For removal, a removal tool distends the bolster to a smaller profile
- Suited to people who do not tolerate balloon buttons
