The 3M Tegaderm High Performance Nonadhesive foam dressing is a sterile, rectangular polyurethane foam dressing without a border. It has a multi-layer design and a film backing. Because it is nonadhesive, it does not stick to the wound bed.
- Multi-layer design combines high absorbency with high breathability, to reduce the risk of maceration (softening of skin from moisture)
- Adapts to changing levels of exudate (wound fluid) to maintain moisture balance
- High fluid handling capacity under compression
- Does not stick to the wound bed, so disruption of tissue is minimized
- Film backing blocks strike-through and acts as a barrier against external bacteria and viruses
