The Stratasorb composite island dressing from Medline is a sterile, rectangular dressing with four distinct layers. It measures 4 x 4 inches and has a waterproof film backing. Its rectangular shape is designed for post-op applications.
- Four distinct layers, designed to cover all stages of wound care
- Layer 1 is a nonadherent contact layer that protects the wound site and will not stick to granulating tissue
- Layer 2 is a soft pad that absorbs drainage
- Layer 3 is a nonwoven backing with an adhesive border that securely holds the contact pad in place
- Layer 4 is a semi-occlusive polyurethane film that helps deter external contaminants and maintain an optimal wound environment
- Rectangular shape, designed for post-op applications
- Dimensions: 4 x 4 inch, up to 4 inch length
