The McKesson Brand Medihoney calcium alginate dressing is a honey-impregnated wound dressing, a rectangle that measures 4 x 5 Inch. It uses medical-grade honey from the Leptospermum plant species. It is sterile, nonadhesive and made for single use.
- Medical-grade honey from the pollen and nectar of the Leptospermum plant species in New Zealand and Australia
- Honey formula keeps its effectiveness in the presence of wound fluid
- Cleanses and debrides due to high osmolarity
- Can be used for wound bed preparation and through all phases of wound care
- As wound fluid enters the dressing, the honey is released while the dressing absorbs fluid and forms a gel
- Nonadhesive dressing
