The McKesson Brand Medihoney calcium alginate dressing is a honey-impregnated wound dressing, a pad made with calcium alginate and Leptospermum honey. It is a sterile, nonadhesive 2 x 2 inch square. You use each dressing one time only.
- Medical-grade honey from the pollen and nectar of Leptospermum plants grown in New Zealand and Australia
- Used for wound bed preparation
- Honey is released as wound fluid enters the dressing, while the dressing absorbs the fluid and forms a gel
- Nonadhesive
- Single use only
- Sterile
- Size: 2 x 2 inch, square shape
- Length: up to 4 inch
- Ingredient: active Leptospermum honey, 95% strength
- Not made with natural rubber latex
