The Xeroform petrolatum impregnated dressing is a sterile gauze strip that measures 1 x 8 inches. It is designed as a primary dressing for sutured wounds, minor lacerations, burns and skin grafts. It is made by Gentell.
- Clings and conforms to the skin
- Made of a fine, highly absorbent mesh, suited to wounds with mild exudate (fluid drainage)
- Petroleum gauze dressing with a 3% bismuth tribromophenate formulation, described as bacteriostatic
- Impregnated with petrolatum, which forms a barrier that retains moisture and medications
- Sterile dressing that is made not to stick to the skin
- Primary dressing for sutured wounds, minor lacerations, burns and skin grafts
- Sold as 50 dressings per box
