The Aquacel foam dressing from ConvaTec is a sterile, bordered foam dressing with a soft absorbent pad. It is built with an interface powered by Hydrofiber Technology and a waterproof film backing. It measures 6 X 6 inches with a 4 X 4 inch pad.
- Combines a soft foam pad with Hydrofiber Technology in one dressing
- Aquacel interface, powered by Hydrofiber Technology, gels on contact with the wound
- Locks in exudate (wound fluid), including harmful components
- Vertical wicking limits lateral spread of fluid, which reduces the risk of maceration (skin softening from excess moisture)
- Micro-contours to the wound bed, minimizing dead space where bacteria can grow
- Waterproof barrier against viral and bacterial penetration
- Soft absorbent foam pad absorbs excess fluid and adds comfort for the patient
