The Duramax S super absorbent dressing from Smith & Nephew is a sterile, rectangular dressing with an adhesive border. It is made to absorb and hold thick, viscous exudate, the fluid that drains from a wound. It measures 20 x 25 centimeters (8 x 10 inches).
- Made to be comfortable to wear, with a cross-linked silicone contact layer that helps the dressing not adhere to the wound bed
- Six-layer structure absorbs and locks in viscous exudate, even under pressure
- Top film layer lets water vapor pass through
- Nonocclusive, breathable dressing that allows a moist wound environment
- Designed to help limit maceration and irritation of the wound bed and surrounding skin caused by exudate
