The PICO 7 Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Fluid Management Pack is a kit of dressings for use with the PICO 7 system, a portable negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) pump system. With 5 dressings in each pack, it lets therapy be tailored to the patient's clinical needs. It is approved for use on acute wounds, chronic wounds and closed surgical incisions.
- Pack of 5 dressings, so therapy can be tailored to the patient's clinical needs
- PICO provides suction, known as negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), which draws excess fluid from a wound and protects the incision or wound
- The system consists of an NPWT pump connected to an absorbent dressing with a gentle adhesive
- You apply the dressing to the wound bed, then place extra adhesive strips over the outside edge to help hold it in place
- When the pump is turned on, air is pulled out of the dressing and excess fluid from the wound starts to enter the dressing
- The dressing is designed to help keep bacteria from entering the wound
- Approved for use on acute wounds, chronic wounds and closed surgical incisions
- PICO 7 is a portable system that lets patients continue daily activities
