The Greiner Bio-One MiniCollect capillary blood collection tube is a serum tube with separator gel, a small tube made for collecting capillary blood samples. It holds 800 µL and measures 11 x 40 mm. The gold rubber cross-cut cap stays on during collection and sampling.
- 800 µL MiniCollect Z Serum Separator tube with a gold, rubber, cross-cut cap that does not need to be removed during collection and sampling
- The inside of the 11 x 40 mm serum tube is coated with spray-dried blood clotting activator
- Serum and plasma tubes with gel contain an inert acrylic barrier at the bottom of the tube
- During centrifugation, the gel moves upward to form a stable barrier between the clot or cells and the serum or plasma
- The barrier also stays stable during transportation
