Description / Cardinal 2891 - Telfa™ Ouchless Nonadherent Dressing, 3 x 8 Inch - 200/Bag, 1000/Case
The Cardinal Telfa Ouchless nonadherent dressing is a 3 x 8 inch rectangular pad that is made not to stick to the wound surface. It has an absorbent cotton pad bonded between two layers of perforated film. Facilities and home caregivers can cut it to fit the area being covered.
- Absorbent cotton pad, made so it does not stick to the wound and disturb tissue underneath
- Source lists each dressing as sterile and individually wrapped in a peel-open envelope, but the spec data lists it as nonsterile, so confirm sterility on the product label before ordering

Reading a dressing listing
Product names give the dressing type, brand, and size, written as width by length in inches or centimeters. Check whether the dressing has an adhesive border, whether it is sterile, and how it is sold: each, box, carton, or case. A wound care nurse, doctor, or other clinician chooses the dressing for a particular wound.
What is the difference between bordered and borderless foam?
A bordered foam dressing has an adhesive edge that holds it in place. A borderless foam dressing is held in place with tape or a wrap.
What is a Hydrofiber dressing?
A Hydrofiber, or gelling fiber, dressing such as Aquacel turns into a gel as it takes up fluid.
What does "non-adherent" mean?
The surface of the dressing is made not to stick to the wound.
