The Dukal X-Ray Detectable Surgical Laparotomy Sponge is a sterile, absorbent cotton sponge made for use during surgery. Its radiopaque handles show up on X-ray, so a sponge left in a body cavity can be detected and found. Each sponge measures 18 x 18 inches.
- X-ray detectable sponges absorb fluids in surgical wounds and remove blood and body fluids from the surgical site, helping medical staff work on a patient during surgery
- Made of 100% pre-washed cotton with good absorbency
- Disposable, and suitable for first aid emergencies
