Wound Closure

• Closure strips and butterfly bandages: 3M Steri-Strip skin closure strips, including antimicrobial and Nexcare breathable styles, plus Leukostrip, Dynarex butterfly closure strips, and McKesson reinforced and non-reinforced closure strips. Sterile and non-sterile options are available.
• Sutures: absorbable and non-absorbable sutures with needles, including Vicryl, Chromic, Ethilon, and Perma-Hand from J&J Healthcare Systems, and sutures from Covidien, Surgical Specialties, and McKesson Brand.
• Staplers and removers: skin staplers such as Appose, plus staple removers and suture removal kits.
• Skin adhesives: topical skin adhesives, including Dermabond Advanced and McKesson LiquiBand.

• Closure strips: check sterile or non-sterile, width and length, whether the strip is reinforced, and how many strips come in the pack.
• Sutures: check the material, size, needle type, and needle length on the product page. Sutures, staplers, and skin adhesives are intended for use by licensed clinicians.

Steri-Strip is a well-known brand of adhesive skin closure strip made by 3M. We also carry closure strips from other manufacturers.

A butterfly bandage is a single narrow strip shaped to pull a small cut together. Closure strips usually come as several strips on a card and are applied in a row across a wound.
